Can a girl go on a quick shopping trip without any issues?
That’s the question Chappell Roan put to the test when she went incognito to the perfume store. While the “Hot to Go!” hitmaker, 27, forwent her signature fiery curls for less recognizable strawberry blonde hair, she ended up posting photos of herself in her new look on Instagram for one simple reason: a beauty product recommendation.
It turns out that while out shopping, the Grammy winner was recommended a perfume that she forgot the name of, causing her to turn to social media to try to get an answer.

Roan explained in the caption of the post: “Will the girl who I just met at the perfume store please comment the perfume you recommended I wrote it down and just deleted it on accident. The world ‘girl’ was in the brand name & you said it smelled like lipstick. Thank you.”
She reiterated the same sentiments on her Instagram Stories, writing that she “redownloaded ig to find this perfume that’s how bad I want it.”
While the singer strayed away from her trademark red hair for the outing, she paired the new hair look with a modest outfit consisting of a loose gray shirt with a patterned shawl and sunglasses.
The second photo in her social media post cleared any doubt that Roan was the person in the images, giving a close-up of her face.
In addition to the post receiving comments from some of Roan’s celebrity friends, including Paris Hilton, who left a heart-eyes emoji, fans also reacted to the hair change.

“Oh hello hair 🧡,” one person wrote, “Always love your wigs,” another person commented.
Although it remains unknown whether Roan’s change is permanent, the pop star has always been open to experimenting with her style.
“I just think it’s just not serious. I love that fans find such deep meanings to things and I’m just like, ‘I don’t know, I thought I looked hot.’ Like, I don’t know if it’s anything more than that,” said Roan during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last June.
